Where it began

Carey Hughes was established in 2018 by Martin Carey and Emma Hughes and has quickly grown into one of Scotland’s largest conveyancing firms.

We have ascended the ranks of Scotland’s premier conveyancing firms, and this remarkable journey is rooted in a combination of factors. Our profound local expertise, covering all of Scotland, from our bases in Hamilton and Irvine, gives us an intimate understanding of the regions covering the Highlands, the Borders and the central belt of the country.

Legal Costs

We acknowledge the importance of cost transparency for our clients and will always ensure that a competitive fee estimate is provided at the outset of your engagement with us, incorporating all costs that you are likely to incur as part of your proposed transaction.

Our Private Client department offer an innovative fixed price service for executry work, as well as separation agreements, pre-marriage and pre-cohabition agreements, Wills and Powers of Attorney. We are also delighted to be partnered with Cancer Research UK to offer to our client’s Free Wills and an opportunity to participate in vital fundraising for a wonderful charity who provide invaluable research to Cancer preventing research and treatment which affect so many of us at some point in our lives.
